A reflection on Prague

Of course, Prague is much more.

From the Castle, official residence of the President of the Czech Republic, to the narrow streets behind the clock tower, but also the area behind Charles Bridge is worth seeing. I also tried the outskirts precisely in Zizkov, where I was staying. I found the area very interesting, reading some books and also diaries of other bloggers, the neighbourhood used to be very infamous. Honestly today many things have changed.

The area is very busy, with a few attractions, such as the television tower. Also a few others of note, you can also take a specific route. To do this, however, I took advice from the hotel reception as I wanted to find out if it was an interesting area or not. Well yes, the area turned out to be very interesting. The alleys of the houses are very picturesque, with not bad little shops, not for souvenir shopping but you can buy something nice according to taste. Shops where you can find many really tasty local ‘specialities’.

Lastly, I took the metro and really ADVENTURED, obviously with a few tricks, the neighbouring villages are also worth a visit. On Sunday I was back home. Prague is very nice to see. Some guys I met there were Italians. They were already there for a week for a total of 15 days. For many it is a city to visit in a weekend, for others even more than 15 days. If you go to Prague just to visit the city and the main monuments, I am convinced that four days are more than enough. Like any other city there are not only the monuments to visit, but also the suburbs to see, get to know and appreciate. I recommend 10 days to visit it in depth.

In every city I have visited time has never been enough. Every time I seem to forget something despite the information I get before leaving via the web or through other bloggers or maybe by reading some books.

I am convinced that in each city one should stay at least six months, but of course a lifetime would not be enough.

Travel as much as you can and try to capture the intimacy of each city.

Have a good trip

Francesco
